The race to the Ivory Tower

It's well known that at the beginning of the story four creatures (only three in the film) meet in the Howling Forest for a short rest. With their talking they introduce Bastian and the reader / spectator into the danger menacing whole fantasia. They know that it is important to act quickly to prevent the danger. So all of them want to reach the Ivory Tower as fast as possible to ask the Childlike Empress for help. But in which sequence they arrive? And why?

That's the question of now. For fans of the Neverending story surely no problem. That's why I doesn't set out a price. However, the question let me always smirk. So give your solution. Of course it isn't a matter of the right solution but of the right argumentation. The competitors are introduced shortly once again at the end of this page.
